made up of two large screens mounted in a field on the outside of avalon, the drive-in has become the number one makeout spot for teenagers. it has speakers mounted through the car park so that everyone can hear the movies that are being played on loop, and it even has a little snack shack at one end of the parking area.
a family friendly setting, the fruit farm is filled with plenty of fields bursting with various fruits. it even has its own pumpkin patch. every saturday, the famer hosts a farmers market, with produce from farms all around town gathering together to sell their picks. looking for a fun day with the kids? berry picking is always an option!
shady acres is the perfect place to escape for all of the horse lovers out there. the stable offers boarding and horse-back riding lessons, as well as trail rides along the various paths on the property. during spring and summer breaks, there are teen riding camps offered at the stable.

saving animals from pounds all around connecticut, paws is a no-kill shelter that provides a sanctuary for many of the poor, homeless critters. it is the best place to find an animal, whether it's acting as a companion for a single person or the beloved family pet. the shelter is also open to anyone that wants to come in and volunteer with the animals (walking the dogs or playing with any of the other animals), since the staff can only do so much on their own.
this locally owned and operated bed and breakfast is situated on several acres of beautiful magnolia land. the inn also acts as a farm sanctuary for rescued animals to provide them with healthier lives. the whitmore inn prides itself on sustainability by using recycled materials to furnish its rooms and provides guests with a completely plant-based kitchen.
settled deep on the outskirts of town, motel 8 is the place rumored to house all of the affairs and other gossip fueled indiscretions. it's not the best place in town, but it isn't struggling for business, either. the rooms are comfortable enough and the price is right.
all of the various farms and fields of avalon are spread out nicely around the town itself, covering the expanse of land at the outskirts and providing plenty of space for the multitude of purposes that they play. when the crops are tall and full, the fields are one of the best places for hide and seek, or sneaking away somewhere where your parents can't find you. many types of produce are grown in those fields, so be careful not to trample any! or, even worse, tick off a farmer's livestock.
the houses on magnolia are mainly comprised of assorted farmhouses that have been proudly standing for decades. they hold a special sort of aura around them that just draws a person in; rustic charm mingling with the comfort that only a farmhouse can offer. sure, there're some loose boards and broken railings here and there, but the cosmetic damages just add to the appeal.
